DATA SCIENCE
MONTH

Data Science’s learning curve is formidable, valuable for any company in any industry. IEEE VIT Pune SB, started one of the most exciting workshops of the year- 'Data Science Month'. . By the end, the students were well acquainted with data cleaning, pre-processing and application of machine learning algorithms. This month-long workshop came to a successful end with a positive feedback creating a data science vision in the brilliant minds of the participants

CYBER SECURITY
WORKSHOP

IEEE VIT SB, Pune conducted an interactive workshop on Cyber Security on 30th September. The motive of this workshop was to spread awareness about the increasing cybercrimes of the black hat hackers and to impart knowledge on the hacking of electronic devices. A positive feedback was received and the attendees were brimming with confidence as they had learned something invaluable that day

SET CODE


IEEE VIT SB Pune conducted a 2 hour long coding competition on Hackerrank. The problems were set by the Exe-com members of IEEE. The objective of this competition was to expose the students to the competitive environment and allow them to learn, compete, practice with a promise of becoming a better programmer. This competition helped the students get an understanding of competitive coding and algorithmic problem solving and made them a better coder by its end.

IEEE Student Branch VIT Pune conducts several educational, social and professional activities throughout the year. IEEE Student Branch VIT Pune hosted and administered The International Conference on Big Data, IoT and Data Analytics, 2017. The Student Branch has always tried to establish a link between academia and industry by inviting influential people from industry into the college to give guest lectures. Industrial Visits are also a part of the Branch activities. Vishwatronics is a technical section in Mélange, the annual inter-college festival, is organized and handled by the student branch. Workshops on various skills are of regular happenings in the Student Branch. Humanity lies in the moto of IEEE and hence as a tradition, the Student Branch makes a social visit and donation on the Republic Day.
